Wow - how much fluid is in there? That’s twice the testarossa fluid changes Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
im either gonna do these annually or every 2 years with the brake flush: ptu fluid, DCT fluid, rear diff fluid
The trouble is they’re using 18 year old single malt and Trump just upped the tariffs on it!! Joking aside, mine just had a 5 year belt service and the cost was zero. Thanks 7 year service pack!!
In the UK you get a 7 year service pack. You only pay for non standard items like worn pads, tyres etc. Each 2nd hand car some with 2 years power warranty. It’s how I justified buying it when inputting the data into my man maths calculator......
How much did the dealer quote you on the same service? I had my last 7th year service in May, and it had all those fluid change. I was told it will be around $2400 next year for the same service due to the mileage I put on it every year. Of course, the car was returned nice and shiny and free of all the bug juice and carcasses in the front end wrap, and cleaner than anything I could have done myself. I'll need to give a call to those 2 indy shops near Denver.
Great thread regarding the cost of ownership. As the last post is 3 year-old (2019), what is your current average annual cost for an FF that is out of warranty? Is $5,000 a year for maintenance and potential repairs still about right (not including gas and insurance)?
That feels a smidge high unless you're planning on building up a reserve for a PTU repair/replacement. My first annual service without the 7 year factory maintenance was under $2,000 from an independent shop and that included full fluid replacement. When you add in tire replacement then maybe add $2,000 every 5 years but I'm finding the car to be pretty bulletproof....so far. I'm operating under the assumption there will be a PTU issue at some point but the prices seem to be coming down on that as well to a more reasonable amount.
Just got my 14 FF back from my local Ferrari dealer, yearly maintenance $1900, out of warranty, same every year.
I am looking at a 2014 for sale in NJ. Decent spec, nothing crazy. I want to trade in my GT3 for it because I love the v12 and convenience of 4 seats. Dealer says for $7500 they’ll cover maintenance and CPO with warranty for two years. This sounds pretty good right? They’re asking $177k for the car which they will move a little bit on. Is it a 997 gt3? You can add rear seats to that. How many miles are on the car? It’s interesting, seems that dealers put there own price on the cpo as I’ve seen prices from $5200 to $8900.
991.2 2018 6,250 miles I know some people say “I insure myself” and don’t do a CPO or ppi. I The last thing I want to do is go from a reliable Porsche to something that has a warranty that covers nothing anyway. I’ve heard the warranty isn’t worth the paper it’s written on. has anyone had a good experience with those warranties?
I don’t have experience with a Ferrari cpo warranty but an indie shop told me the Lasalle warranty was very good.
personally id be weary of anything but a ferrari warranty. i am no an expert but after market warranty on a ferrari just makes me nervous.
