Hi, I am considering buying a FF. what are the wholesale/trade-in values on a '12 FF? conversely, the lease terms seem very good on '14 FFs? how much are dealers taking off MSRP? what is the best lease term you've heard? thanks in advance
Have not seen any discounting new FF's. Used 12 & 13 are a good play..13's tend to be the better one with greater warranty and still able to get proper deal with FNA. the numbers vary on the 2012 from $215K/250K & on 13's from $235K/$280K..I know of a 2014 that sold last week with low miles north of $305K. Hope that helps.
Only 'discounting' is on late model 'demos.' And it is modest. The market is such that you can basically dial in your market by determining how much you want to put into the car which determines your model year and mileage -- as outlined by bayareaferrari above.
I'd imagine trade-in on a 2012 is under $200K. I've read mixed things about lease terms. Someone in one thread said they were great and another guy replied saying they were bad. Don't think people get much off new new cars, but this dealer has a barely used 2014 $80K under MSRP. Surely you can bargain something with these dealers if they have cars like these in inventory. Just to be clear. The 2014 you are pointing out in the ad would not have an MSRP of over $360K. The MSRP on that car is closer to $320K/$330K. This is also a consigned car so the dealer is not going to do much if anything as the owner will determine if they want to sell it or not. Based on the year and miles that is a pretty solid number for that car. It is missing the Carbon wheel which many people really like but has the Mag Roof. Best thing to do with these cars is choose the color you like and pull the trigger. Without a doubt one of the best driving Ferrari's made.
Dunno, just repeating what they listed it as. Their site says $365K MSRP. 2014 Used Ferrari FF 2dr HB at Scottsdale Ferrari Serving Phoenix, AZ, IID 12243955
Tried out an FF yesterday in highway and hill roads. Jesus Christ what a car. That one was for someon in Denmark who has a friend in Italy do 5k km on evey Ferrari he buys so that he avoids the new luxury tax in Denmark for luxury vehicles below 5k km. He was kind enough to let me try it. I laughed the entire time. Cant even think what an F12 feels like but the traction on this one on comfort mode was just insane. If u can afford it, buy it. Howver the back seats were almost nonexistant or only good for kids. Very young ones.
The back seats are not nonexistent. They're deep, as they are in my 612. I'm a 220lb man and I've sat comfortably in my back seat for an hour just to try it out. The FF back seat appears to be somewhat more comfortable than the 612.
I'm 1.80m high. and 24 long :uwish: 2 guys like me could not stand one in the front and one in the back without the one in the back being quite uncomfortable. I TRIED. I set the front sitting in it and then moved to the back. Ugh. Your weight is not important, is the HEIGHT that matters. How long are ur legs. I've seen 220lb man barely reaching my throat. With their knives.
I'm 1.80m also and was fine in the back seat of the ff. Now, I wouldn't want to drive from Chicago to NY in the back seats but they are fine for most drives/short trips.
back seats are totally fine if the person in front of you sits close to the steering wheel...if the driver or passenger sit back then the rears useless...with kids it can be tricky too...the brittax and recaro boosters don't really fit great into the bucket shape of the seat...so I end up putting my kids in the front seat with a booster - and for the life of me I cant figure out how the switching off the passenger seat airbag works.
I'm 6'1", 225 lbs, and without adjusting the driver's seat from my normal driving position, I fit in the back. I wouldn't want to spend more than 30 minutes there but the rear seat and headroom is just like the Mercedes S550 big boat that I once had. Resale value, depends on how much the owner wants to sell. I hope to be in a position late next summer to move to a 2016 FF and will discount the hell out of mine in order to make it move quickly. Pretty simple.
Why would u want so much the 2016 model and why are u so eager to lose money on the sale of yours ? I mean, thanks for your input to the economy, much appreaciated, but what has the 2016 model more ?
He drives these cars instead of staring at them sitting in a garage like most Ferrari owners in US do. Just check the mileages on used F cars. Rick's car will probably have 40k miles by the time 2016 model shows up......
It will start showing some wear, no doubt. A lot of folks trade cars as soon as warranty is over or before, nothing wrong with that. If you can afford it, a peace of mind is priceless........
I don't think anyone said that but whats wrong with a guy buying a new car after 2 or 3 years .. once the warranty up is a good time to move on . .. I have heard that the FF has tremendous lease program from Ferrari heavily subsidized .. for those thinking of leases...it is closed end so you walk away....
sigh there is NOTHING wrong in what he is doing. I AM JUST asking the reasons. Does he know something on the 2016 model that I don't know ? Will that model bring something revolutionary that I don't know ? Is he leasing the car at very favourable conditions and does he give it in every 2 years ? I am JUST curious.
To all prospective buyers/leasers: Just put up from a 700 mile run in my '14 White FF (Cioccolato interior) across the the Sonoran Desert. Altitudes ranged from -300 ft to +8000 ft. Temps from 68 F to 103 F. Maximum speed 128 mph. Average speed 81 mph. Three gas stops and one Border Patrol inspection. The BP kid asked, "Can it go fast?" I said, "It can .. when they let me (smile)" Kids at the Shell wanted to see the engine -- opening the hood made for a near orgasm. But the drive itself was the thing -- from freeways to deserted desert two-laners: it doesn't get any better. It cemented my belief that this is the best all around car that I have ever owned.
Sounds like great drive. In total contrast, I drive my FF 8 miles to the station in the rain this morning. Put a big smile on my face. That's the beauty of this car, it makes a good drive great and makes something special out of the mundane every time. That's worth every penny I think.. Will FY16 be the M model release?
