I took it to the local shop and everything seems to indicate the temp sensor may not be reading correctly. They’ll do a proper diagnosis on Wednesday.

Update. My coolant level was low had to add almost a gallon of coolant. Car was serviced by an authorized dealer in December, I assume they did a coolant flush. Has anyone had issues with coolant leaks with their FF?

Never heard of any problem with coolant level, in comparison to yours. So happy you found it - as I have never ever seen anything like that on my FF.

Regarding sound, do double check that no one might have done a cheap golf peg conversion on the exhaust system - that is forced the rear boxes to always be open.... I guess the easiest check is: from cold start, the valves will be opened for about what 25 seconds or so? and just let it idle for after that period, and for the safety wait one minute just to be damn sure and all that, the sound should really be muted in idle. Do not drive, just start. Don't touch the gas pedal at all. just sit and relax. If you do not notice a more than notable drop in sound level, then the valves are forced open all the time.

I would not put it past the service reps forgetting or not properly completely filling the coolant. On many older cars you need to turn on the cars heater in order to open the coolant lines and fill everything properly. Not sure if that's needed any more though. Still scary if that's the case.

I had the same temperature issue last year right after the annual service on my way home. The coolant temp went way to high, even though I was only cruising on the highway.
I returned to the official dealer immediately just to find out that there was at least 1 litre of coolant missing.
My mechanic told me that it's part of the annual service to perform a pressure test on the cooling system, where some of the coolant might "vanish".
Looks like they forgot to refill the system afterwards.

Depending on the year, the coolant reservoir may not be holding pressure either. Had to have it on my 2012, and the dealer stated that it happens frequently up to the 2014s.

Got the car back from the shop, they tested for leaks and found nothing. The current theory is an air bubble probably caused during the last annual service that got dislodged when I tracked the car resulting low coolant levels. Car seems running well now, I’ll keep an eye on temperatures.

I’d have to check the Manuel but I think I had read that tracking voids warranty so I’d not tell them if u still under warranty … it’s in the manual somewhere

My local Ferrari dealer organizes track days and invites their customers to experience their own cars on the track. Seems like a cruel joke if attending such an event would then void the warranty. Maybe the manual specifies using the car for competition on track? That I could understand.
