Yes, these cars come in distinct segmented "flavors," and one's leanings do depend a lot on what else is in the garage and one's life style. In our case, the FF gets long trip cross country duty plus a bit of around town passenger carrying chores. The rest of our California cars are effectively two-seaters. We found that we were not putting a lot of mileage on them and were motivated to get the FF to get more "Ferrari time." I did not anticipate how much of a blast it would be to take the car on long trips. Now if I were to sell something it would be a two-seater.

We do live in the "golden age" of the performance automobile and I don't know how long it will last. So my attitude is "eat, drink, and be merry," and there are a lot of ways to do that if you have the means and love the cars.

Lots of commentary on which is "better" but that is a false choice. They are different cars optimized around different uses. I have a CGT and love it but I also have a 360 and a Carrera so felt I had the sporty side dialed in.

I replaced an M5 with the CGT and am very happy with the choice. For me it was important that it would be easy for my wife and friends to drive (ie no exotic clutches), had high payload capacity, was unique/well designed. While the B is heavy it is also very fast if you get on it but once you buy one you realize that that's not the point. I wanted to avoid massive depreciation/illiquidity so I bought a pre-owned one.

You ask about options: on the B the Mulliner package is highly desirable other than that there arent many other major options. From a depreciation standpoint, both are V12/W12 cars and will experience breathtaking depreciation but thats part of the cost and if you can't afford it you shouldn't be buying it IMHO. In the B, white, beluga silver and sapphire are the lowest depreciation/most desirable colors. Hide color varies by taste.

I felt the only real competitors to the B were the Panamera Turbo (excellent car but ugly as hell) and the RR Wraith (which I felt was way too over the top as I am in my early 40s). Also with the RR I felt the old adage of Bentley is for drivers and Rolls is for those that are driven to be true. It is nowhere near the performance of the B.

If you can justify it, the stereo upgrades in Panamera and B are expensive but excellent. I have only had basic maint except for one major suspension failure that Bentley paid for. That said, maintenance is more expensive than that on my 360.
