Sounds like a good deal, although it’s like a casino; the dealer always wins Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Is it the continental auto sport black one? Nice spec! Image Unavailable, Please Login Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Right, you think FF prices are low now, just wait until the Lusso is discontinued. Compound that with the upcoming "elegant" 2+2 Ferrari has officially mentioned, and both FF's and Lussos will be very affordable. Lusso T's may be charm bracelet trinkets. lol
Image Unavailable, Please Login Pretty sure it’s that one- matches the description if it’s advertised at 179k I think they have more room to go down Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
[/QUOTE] Wanted that one... damn. Now I’ll have to get a Lusso. Especially at those prices. Drive it well.... Thing is you can ALWAYS wait and get it cheaper.....but you could also die. When I get in my FF I think- why didn’t I do this sooner? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
Image Unavailable, Please Login Was supposed to look at ff yesterday. Checked w dealer before rearranging my schedule. All set to go. Yeah right. They tell me now they ddon't even have the car. Hate car dealers. anyway, go to pet store to waste time till dinner and seems it was time to make a major purchase even if not a ferrari! Lol
I think overall one just have to decide the balancing point between immediate gratification in the face of unpredictability of life (think health) and money. ALL cars depreciates (except just a few). Saving 30K in 2 years, yes, of course, why not? But it all comes down to whether you think the joy of these two years driving FF is worth 30K. No one can answer that for you. When I was young, my first sport car was Mazda Rx-8. I could never imagine I would one day drive a Ferrari. The amount of joy the Rx-8 brought me when I was young is similar to what Ferrari brought me today when I am old. This is a rather funny way to say that the amount of fun cannot be always guaranteed by the amount of money.
This is exactly right. I buy Ferraris because there is no other marque that does it for me like Ferrari does. The magic in the experience of driving one is impossible to describe. Ferraris are wasted on mere mortals.
That’s true. For me I live by that old morrocan proverb that says that there is no better feelings than a childhood dream coming true as an adult. That’s why I love the TR because it was my childhood car. I agree though that no other car brand has the same aura though. Love Ferrari. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Blue one at miller is beautiful.. Asking WAY to much imo....Cant imagine them coming down 20/30k? At least yet
I don't think even Beverly Hills gets as much as Miller for their cars. I have shopped both but have never bought from either. Just didn't have exactly what I was looking for to pay the Premium price they were asking for their cars. But both stores have good examples and I could see paying what they if all the boxes were checked.
Unlikely to have bottomed out so soon. Look at the few 456s on the market. Been trading around £40k to £50k past few years. I would say they have bottomed out. Really pristine examples that have not been properly enjoyed as intended may appreciate slightly. Look at the 612s on the market. You see them priced around high £60k / low £70k (at low end) and up to around £120k / £130k for OTO low mileage examples. I suspect the low mileage, prime examples have bottomed out. The examples that are being enjoyed and covering miles as their engineers and designers intended, may fall further. (See price of 456s for example). FFs have some way to go. Curve won’t flatten out until they reach £70k ish. Then see what 612 is doing for comparison. There are some nice FF examples priced at around £110k to £120k. Try to negotiate some off - there are a number of nice examples out there - and enjoy now. Don’t wait. You only regret what you don’t do. Or as my dealer said, when I hesitated for a moment placing an order for a new production volume Ferrari in early 2017: “why wouldn’t you do it? It will be the best thing you have ever done.”
thanks for comments, helpful I find it hard to believe a FF will ever be 70k or comparable to a 612 pricing given cost of purchase and uniqueness, some were 300k, it appears to only ever have (reluctant) rave reviews? will it achieve a cult following in time?! r
imo, although the styling was controversial when introduced, it will become more and more accepted as time goes on. that will keep the value stable
Eh, I see lots of Ferraris from many years apart that trade not at massively different prices. Look at prices of 355, 360, and 430. 430s aren't exactly expensive compared to the others...
Well not so sure you are correct on that first assumption. The total run for all 612s was 3025 give or take a couple and the pricing was around $280k - $400k US. The total number 612 OTOs were less than 400 maybe a lot less (like 250?) and were priced at $300k -$400k+. I am thinking that a lot more FF were made than 612s. Also while some folks didn't care for the looks of the 612 when it came out but it seems to have become accepted now and even desired. On the other hand many folks really didn't like the FFs and still don't even though there is a lot of value there. I am guessing the 612 OTO will hold up value wise over time better than the FF because of rarity and general design. But I am prejudiced since I elected to get a 612 OTO over an FF, just can’t rap my head around the rear of the car even though I like everything else about the car. One opinion I could be wrong?
id keep my 612 OTO over my FF if i had to give one up. the 612OTO is beautifulk 365 days a year - i can drive my e36 m3 or an suv in the winter.
I miss our 2009 612 OTO but would never trade the 2012 FF to get it back. We’re racked up 21,000 of the happiest miles on it that I’ve done in any car. It’s my all-season DD, including backcountry snowmobiling trips into Upper Michigan earlier this year. I’ve loved the FF styling from day one. Can’t get myself to “upgrade” to a Lusso because I am so fond of the FF styling simplicity. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
