Not the CGT. I tried hard to be a Porsche guy but I'm not just not one. Sent from my BBB100-3 using Tapatalk
Where do you see that?.....I'm seeing a 2012 13K mile car at $119K for the lowest priced FF....and it's a salvage car
To me the FF is the car where you look at the prices and you're like "wow, I can get a $300K Ferrari that's only a few years old for $150K!!!" But then you think about it you realize this isn't that amazing of a deal. 2012 was not that recent. A 2012 car is 6-7 years old. How many people on here are regularly screaming at the chance to buy a 7 year old car?
My 308 is 38 years old and my 360 is 18 years old, but I know what you mean. The reason the FF prices are so low is exactly because there are not many people interested in them. Good old supply and demand. Still think the FF is a great but fugly car, and I may end up with one.
I predict that an appropriately optioned FF, 2014 or newer will bottom out in the $170,000 range and then start going back up. It is an amazing car, from both a looks and performance standpoint. Then add AWD. Then add the fact that you can actually travel in the thing. We headed up North for the Rolls Royce Cullinan launch in Vancouver BC and it was a McLaren 570GT, a new Ferrari 488 and my FF...............guess who hauled all the girls suitcases (with all those shoes)? You guessed it.
Ferrari 2+2 will always have ther detractors because it’s hard to make 2+2 beautiful (456) being the exception, But value for money it today’s market it’s a true steal, and is truly a magnificent beast, it “drives “ smaller than my 456m. D.
4 seat Ferraris have always had more limited resale values compared to their 2 seat brothers and I see no reason that the FF should not follow the same pattern. It may be a great driving car but its looks appeal to a far more limited audience. Do not see the value rising in the near future and suspect depreciation will continue to be substantial.
Baron, "they've been below that for quite some time"? Where, show me an FF below that and I bet you a bottle of Shafer Hillside Select that it is a 2012 or older in Black or a weird color, no pano-roof and light options
Dr. they've already depreciated to a resistance point (again, not talking about a 2012 with no options - those will fall a bit more)
2013 with 9k miles, Nero Daytona, carbon wheel, diamond wheels, stitching, passenger display, leather headliner, hifi stereo, etc for $150k. Sale was this month.
Right, the curse of the 2+2. For those who are buying, take advantage of the value this brings. For those who are selling . . . don't take it personally. That's life in the big city.
There is no 2+2 curse. All Ferraris, except limited editions, drop in value dramatically, some faster (like FF, Lusso, 612 etc) some slower, in the end all do. 599s, 430s,etc, even Scuderias, all initially (less then a year after release) held decently (my 2008 Scuderia dropped from $315k to $240k in less then a year), they all can be had for less then 50% of the MSRP. In the same time frame a 2012 FF dropped to it's 50%.
IIRC, the 2012 were among the most over-spec'd, high MSRP cars... And keep in mind the prices you see are asking prices. I'd be shocked if any FF sells even within $10K of asking price.
