I put my California's WeatherTech FloorLiners into my FF as suggested in an earlier post many weeks ago. Warning ... Warning Will Robinson!! Today I started the FF to get things warm (it is suddenly snowing like mad in Toledo), then I tilted the driver's seat to get an ice scraper from the back seat and as the seat moves forward it pushes the FloorLiner on the accelerator and you get 8,250 rpm real quick testing the rev limit . It sounds quite cool while you PANIC trying to figure out what the heck is going on. Within a couple seconds I had the seat back and it instantly idled back down so all is well.

I'll bet this does not happen if the California FloorLiners are in my California and will test that in the next couple days.

This is just a heads up to anyone using the FloorLiners from a Cali, don't tilt the seat with the engine running :).

Rick // Were the floor liners sitting on top of the regular floor mats?

I think so, I have to check and if the original mats are in there I will remove them and try it again, tonight ... thanks for the idea!

I removed the factory floor mat and although the seat does push the FloorLiner it didn't push the accelerator. The left rear corner of the FloorLiner however does need a little trimming, when I get that done I expect it will not push the FloorLiner any more. It doesn't fit the trunk/gas cap button the same way it does in the Cali.

Sounds like it will be a workable solution.

PS I just rechecked the WeatherTech site and they still offer floor mats or floor liners for only the California and the 458. They really should get with it and realize that the FF is the one Ferrari model that is actually likely to see foul weather on a regular basis.

YES ... again, again thanks for the tip NYC. I can put mine back in my Cali again without trimming them.
