    When you activate the washers in the FF (and possibly other models) the windshield is sprayed, the wipers wipe then stop with a clean windshield ... ten seconds later they wipe one more time and it ALWAYS leaves streaks of crap. It is very irritating.

    The fix is, pull and hold the wiper button to wash as normal, when you release the button press it twice again immediately putting the wipers in the normal mode. When clean pull the button back to turn them off, no more extra wipe after the stupid 10 second delay.

    Excellent find, Rick! I too have cussed the horrible job the wiper/washer system does normally. I'll definitely give this a try.

    Thanks Rick. Gave this one a try today. Loads of crud spraying up from the road after the recent rain, so the windscreen needed a few rounds of spraying.

    Rest of the car was covered in road crud, but at least the windscreen was clean and streak free.
