I got one yesterday...anyone else get theirs yet?
The "summons" is also available on their website (http://www.frenchquarterclassic.com/). But the $1750 entry is too rich for my taste! (Remember, I'm a middle-class owner with a middle-class Ferrari!) I think I'll just join the caravan and just accompany you guys part of the way and come back. (Eurofest in Greenville is a long-enough trip for a 328 still in need of some upgrades.)
Got mine, The Slutmobile, AKA Lady Marmalade, AKA Brickhouse is ready to cruise the Rue of the French Quarter There are lots of hotels near the WC, even a Holiday Inn & a Ramit Inn LOL
Was considering going until I saw the "financials". Figured it would be about a $6000 weekend when all was said and done. Yikes! Better to use the money on something more practical.....like that Platinum shift knob on eBay
It's definitely a pretty hefty "fine" but, aside from the hotel, there's absolutely nothing else to pay for... Meals are paid for, the fun is all taken care of - it's definitely an event unlike any other...
I will be there..... at least with the F40.... maybe the Dino again. Rick, please do not bring your F40! it makes mine look so damn slow!
Due to a conflict I will be unable to attend this year. I hate it because my wife and I had so much fun last year! But, hopefully I will get invited again for the 2006 FFQC.
"I ain't never seen an armoured car at a funeral" Dr. John As NNO points out, there's not much to pay for once you are there (depending on personal taste in nightlife!!!!! ) Heck, even the fuel at the Track was covered! "Need a little more Shell Premium, sir???? Top it off before you head back to town.......Wait! There's a bug on your windscreen, let me get that for you!" We'll carry on like you were with us, Mr. (and Mrs. Parker)......I'm bringing a Houston Boxer 512bbi over, so it'll have to fill the empty spot. See you in 2006! Dave328, Kelly! Johnfutureowner, put a candle in the window baby! Where are Valeria's dancing shoes??? The ones with Sindo's horsie charms? Oh, here they are..underneath my rumpled tux...Hey, here's the silver pin Franco gave me....that Franco is a nice guy, I'll say!
Like I said, you have a gift waiting for you in a special controlled wooden environment for your gracious gift last year! Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Good thing! Do NOT throw therm into the hot tub.......it takes FOREVER to dry them out enough to burn! I'm just lucky it was salt water filtration, Chlorine would have reminded me too much of home......Texas City, Texas!
