Technically that's correct. There's no lying there. He simply said Trulli repassed under the safety car. He didn't say they told Hamilton to let him by and he wasn't asked that question. I'm sure the FIA wants the tapes to see if there's more than that on them.
Guys, can't we just have one thread on this bullsh!t instead of 7? Geeeeeeezzzz. Can't we condense them all??
I don't understand the issue at all - Hamilton let Trulli have his spot back, who cares who said what when prior to that ? Am I missing something here ?
Geez Franco, you just do not lie to the stewards. That is the issue. No sport can accept lies so obvious without making a joke of themselves. The FIA had no choice, if this had not been made public by SpeedTV, I doubt if there would have been the response we see. But with McLaren and its driver lying so obviously, there was not much else the FIA could have done. To be accurate, blame McLaren and Hamilton, not the FIA.
They are trying to determine if it was a case of a rogue employee, ie Dave Ryan deciding to lie, or whether the team decided as a group they should lie. Whitmarsh said no one else in the Mclaren team knew about the lie Dave Ryan and Lewis told. The FIA are now looking for a SECOND lie.
Well he's not an employee anymore which puts Hamilton in quite a spot. As he's no longer an employee he doesn't have to testify before the FIA as they have no authority over him. So it may just be Hamilton sitting in front of the firing squad alone.
+1 Call it :Hamilton lied Hamilton lied Hamilton lied, all together now. For the one that like's to keep writing it in every bloody thread..
what drugs are you on ???? you go on about other sports, but take a good look at those sports. the fines or punishments if any are tiny - not millions of £££ and the spoiling of the whole season for an entire team
It involves a dunking chair. If they survive ( guilty ) its to be followed with burning at the stake.
