At this point I don't care who wins what I'm just appalled at what actually happened. I didn't even speculate it was this bad before we had the details. The fans really got screwed over in this one.

It's very perverted. As I understand the plea bargain the driver will not be punished, fine let them keep their points, but how can the FIA let them drive a possible tainted car? How could the FIA be so messed up in their thinking ? Ferrari was pissed and pushed the case forward, this may have been a mistake for the sake of the sport. Ferrari should have everyone working towards making the car more reliable and get even on the track.

Not to hijack the thread, but if the two McLaren take out the two Ferraris on every remaining race, will BMW win the WCC?

Assuming both Ferraris (143 WCC points) DNF and BMW (86) take 1-2 in the four remaining races:

    18 x 4 = 72 + 86 = 158 WCC points

Possible, but won't happen unless Alonso and Hamilton go ape-sh*t kamikaze style on the red-cars.

This happens in all sports. Ask the New England Pariots coach what he was doing.

If you take all WDC aand WCC points away from Mclaren, then why would they finish the season?

I agree with previous post, FA will probably be gone from Mc after the season!

Dont do it Tony get things in perspective.
Bernie wants LH in the race keeping the punters happy, the FIA wacked Mc with a big fine as to show its seriousness thus keeping Mad max happy and ferrari.

Ferrari are happy the punters wanting to see racing are happy RD is on the sly relieved to still have LH racing I doubt he will appeal he will back down on his principals I hope
The whole thing has only come to light because the dick heads got caught I think the standings would still be as much as there are anyway with or without the info Wrong as it is ..

Here's a thought: make the McRaris carry extra weight for the last four races ...
... for instance, Max and Bernie as passengers, strapped to the "hood", dead deer style. ;)
