I have a FIAMM Series 3000 air horn on a very late production 1972 365gtc/4 and it is very weak when it should be loud. So I thought that I could oil the air compressor only to find that unlike the Series 2000 which had an oil filler cap on the top, the Series 3000 has no such filler cap. So is the 3000 oil free, or is it permanently oiled at the factory or is there some way of oiling the thing??
Any experience with weak Series 3000 horns and methods to correct it gratefully accepted.
    Thanks

Just remove the top (three screws) make sure the vanes are free, add some light oil and it should be fine.

BTW, you need to use these horns every now and then! At least once a month give it a toot and it will last a lot longer.

I was wondering when do you need to add oil? And what type?
