Wanted to hear about owners experience with the factory FIAMM battery. Has your factory FiAMM battery gone flat and has it been replaced during the 3 year factory warranty. If it has been replaced, did the dealer use another Fiamm, or was it replaced with an Interstate or Odyssey.
Not an 812 but my 2019 488 battery showed signs of going bad in early 2021 and the car was still under its 3yr warranty. My understanding and was told by 2 Ferrari dealers the battery is not replaceable under warranty. I replaced with an Interstate battery and was good to go for the next 4yrs when I traded for a F8 which I immediately changed the FIAMM battery to the same model Interstate.
Smart move. The Fiamm in my F8 died after a 30 minute drive Very inconvenient and wasted ny afternoon Had to call a tow truck. I replaced with the Braille Dealer charged me 450 bucks because factory doesnt approve of Braille. Guess what. I dont approve of FIAMM. Was hoping that FIAMM has a better battery tech which is old tech such as spiral AGM. Hoping to get the 12 C spider and wondering which battery i will use. Lithium IONs are heat sensitive. The passenger footwell in the 458 and F8 are a good location. Maybe the newer solid state battery would be a candidate, when designed for 12 V ICE engine and alternator.
Fiamm in my Speciale lasted 8 years, I replaced it with an Interstate H6 identical in case dim and weight, same CCA and APH. I'll be happy if I get 8 more years form the replacement.
