Had to remove the front bumper to replace a bum radiator fan and thought what a better time than now to install some proper air horns. I ordered the FIAMM Riviera off Amazon for just $30. Wiring was simple enough, removed the passenger side horn first and tucked the wire away with a zip tie. Removing the radiator duct on both sides is easy and makes for an easier install. On the drivers side I cut the connector off of the OE horn plug and soldered on a few lengths of wire with female spade connectors to run to the compressor which was mounted just to the drivers side of the washer fluid tank(wire and connectors not included). I did drill into the frunk to secure the compressor. It’s hidden behind the lining. I’ve seen the horns installed in the air duct for the drivers radiator but I found that they fit nicely in the space that was once home to the OE horn. I placed the horns where I wanted them and marked where I was going to drill to mount them to the top of the radiator duct. I ran the air lines from the horns to the included Y-fitting before reinstalling the ducting. Then ran the line from the compressor to the Y-fitting once things were secure. I needed an extra length of air hose which I picked up at Ace. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
It does, I don’t use the horn very often but it’s fun to have. Reversible if it ever needed to go back too.
