    Best guess would be that this belonged to a 2,4 ltr. coupe instead

    This is a 2.0 Fiat Dino engine, but unfortunately without previous paperwork I do not think there is a way to match it with a respective chassis tag from a car since these cars were not 'matching numbers' (in the way an engine number matched the chassis number of a car).

    Thank you for the replies. So this is possibly a 2.0 litre engine from a 206 or a Fiat, more likely a Fiat? I'm working on the basis that 4833 were produced for Fiat and only 153 were produced for Ferrari. Was there any difference between the engines produced for Ferrari or Fiat? Any further clarification and help would be much appreciated.

    That would be a question for smarter guys than myself.

    I suppose you could trade the numero interno on this to see if it was in a Fiat or a 206

    Is there a number stamped up here?

    not from a Ferrari Dino 206 GT, 2 liter Fiat Dino block

    no documentation from Fiat exsists, so difficult to say from which precise car the engine came from....
