Yep, just like that. June delivery -- apparently FIAT isn't delivering cars right now without the BOSE systems, wheel upgrades and such, so this thing has to be specially stripped at the factory. $15,899 + TTL and dealer fees (read: profit) = right under 18K out the door.
Fiat of McKinney @ 75 & 380. I went there because they just got a shipment, and had the only yellow one in the state. I wanted to see it in the flesh before buying.
Just a comment -- the dealership was pretty busy for a place that doesn't advertise and in threatening weather. 4 very serious buyers in the hour and a half it took me to decide to buy my machine. Not bad considering there's no sign and they just got cars they can actually sell this week.
I was there on Thursday, I think they had 46 in inventory. I took my test drive with Luke, some real nice guys. If everything falls into place right I'll be a salesman over there pretty soon here
Congrats! That pic looks a bit gold on my end though. I found a real world photo online; I like the shade... Image Unavailable, Please Login
Dreamy..... I have no idea what the heck Fiat is thinking by not introducing the Abarth right now. I bet half of the Mini's sold in the first year were S's.
Update: I drive a 100 mile round trip each day, and now have 3,000 miles on my car. I have to go from Long Island NY to Elizabeth NJ during rush hour each way. Highway and stop and go. MPG 37+ Comfortable at 70 MPH. And I have lost track of how many waves, smiles, stares, thumbs up, questions & compliments I have gotten this past month. More than 50, easily. My Ferrari did not get this much attention. If I had to do it again, I might have gotten a POP with its softer ride. The sport is blast, but a little jittery over rough roads. Actually, I'm wanting a Pop cab badly. Saw them last night at the NY auto show. The entire Fiat display was first class, and the cars look like jewelry. These cabs should fly off the shelves. Oh, and add in Abarth and Abrath Cab? Nice. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
One other note for potential buyers -- despite what the configurator says, all graphic packages are available on all models and are installed at the dealer. Only exception is the checkerboard roof, which is not available on the glass-topped Lounge or on the sunroof models.
Damn....I know my $500 is losing interest, but I'm sooooo stoked that I have it in deposit to order an early Abarth, once orders can be placed.....
Any idea when those might be available? Also the interest you'll lose at 0.10% or whatever isn't all that much.
I have to do that. That is a good call if this car gets hot. You'll be ahead of everyone else. I can't tell how well they're selling in LA. I've only seen one on the streets. One local dealer is running radio ads. He's using a retro angle in the ad. That's the only non-Internet advertising I know of. I've heard the ad several times already.
Found out during the confirmation process yesterday that the bluetooth integration is now standard in the US market on all 500s, at no additional charge. Apparently they decided to use the same steering wheel on all models, and that's a side effect. Just FYI.
Thanks! I think the design looks a little too slab-sided without something to break the wall of color. Not really a fan of the Prima stripes but I think some variant of it really is needed on these cars.
I would not have ordered the Prima stripes, but I has no choice. This I think is a better placement of the stripes: Image Unavailable, Please Login
The big question is, will the this little yellow machine fit in your big yellow machine's (Dodge Ram PU) bed?
