I had a fun time this morning, going to the local Chrylser dealership and committing to buy the first Fiat 500 Abarth that they get. For pics of my Lancia parked outside the dealership see the Canadian section for my thread "Fiat Chrysler Fun Day" Beev
Interesting. Did they take a deposit? Had they heard anything from their end? I think my current lease is up in next November. Would love a modern Italian daily hack.

That is super cool. I'd buy one in a heartbeat. I saw on in Italy a few months ago and thought it was fantastic.
Not street legal, neither here nor in italy, its an Assetto Corse version,i.e. a race car. They have their own racing series, which i believe started this weekend in Europe. If you care, i can help in importing it, send me a PM, it comes out to fair price for what is a fantastic track car. Its not available through dealers. elad
These are great little cars. Had mine for 4 weeks now and it's great fun. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
The Fiat Chrysler Abarth 500 is just what I need to replace my Mercedes Chrylser (AMG) SRT6 as a commuter. http://www.abarth.it/500/

Will you track the car at other tracks across the US? If so, let us know. Would love to see that little beast.
They're cool the had some emissions test-loop cars running around LA last fall as well as a press car or two. I had seen a standard as well as the Abarth Edition @ Bob's Big Boy in Toluca Lake. (Burbank)
DETROIT (Reuters) - Fiat SpA Chief Executive Sergio Marchionne turned up the heat on talks with struggling U.S. automaker Chrysler on Wednesday in an interview with the Globe and Mail newspaper published on Wednesday, said a deal on the partnership had only a 50-50 chance of succeeding because of lack of progress in talks between Chrysler and union leaders.
A friend from the UK shipped his here last year for a car show and for fund raising. I picked it up for him at Port Newark. Had it for about a month. Loved it. Got way more attention than my Ferrari ever did. People rolled down windows at stoplights to ask about it. Toyota like in fit and finish. Way fun. If it comes here, it WILL be my daily driver. Never thought I'd see the day that Fiat is in back in the USA, much less in the driver's seat of an icon of US industry. Now, I NEVER underestimate Fiat's ability to foul things up, but, I am cautiously optimistic that those of us who want to drive a NEW Fiat (Like Me) will be able to do so in a year or two. "Meanwhile, the Fiat partnership means Chrysler CEO Robert Nardelli could be out of a job. In an April e-mail to employees, he said that if the deal is completed, Chrysler would be run by a new board appointed by the government and Fiat. The new board, Nardelli wrote, would pick a CEO "with Fiat's concurrence."
