http://www.foxbusiness.com/video/ind..._referrer=staf So Fox wanted to interview someone from the Fiat Lancia Unlimited club about the probable reentry of Fiat to the US. Bobb Rayner is our defacto spokesperson. Though Fox only wanted to poke fun, Bobb held his own! ---------------------------------- From Bobb: After nearly three decades of carrying the flag in North America in relative automotive obscurity, we Fiat Freaks may finally be entering our day in the sun. Finally....street creds! Television news networks now want to talk to us! Imagine that. There's a hell of a story behind this. For now, just click on the link. Watch. Enjoy. http://www.foxbusiness.com/video/ind..._referrer=staf
Just came back from italia and drove a 500. Great car, as is the alfa 159....much needed character injection in the US market....
I really dont get it... he must be huge not to be able to fit into a modern Fiat... :| Or was that just TV talk?
Italian flair has been sadly missing in the US market for way too long. As long as the cars are priced appropriately and don't rust and are reliable, they have a good chance because the driving experience (particularly with younger drivers) in the US is a totally BORING experience. The exceptions: Mini and Scion -- both have been very successful. Don't tell me Fiat doesn't build just as good or as exciting a car as Scion. The question will be the price, resale value, and follow through with service/reliability. I just hope they realize that.
