hi everyone, I am in the process of putting in a fiberglass pool I was wondering if anyone here has one. some questions 1. what brand 2. how old 3. if older how well is the surface holding up. thank you john
I have a pool but it's not fiberglass, but I have sold a lot of fiberglass structures and containment systems. The finish down the road is all in the quality of the gel coat, or the top coat.
I have a fiberglass pool and it is about 30 years old. Had it repainted 3 years ago, but thats all that has had to be done. Enjoy the water. Bob
My company has a client with a fiberglass pool, they're very durable. They only problem with fiberglass pools is colbalting. Typically, 'nuking' the pool with chemicals will cause a reaction with the resins. The chemical will find its way into the pores of the surface and make little black spots. Manage your pool water hardness and chemistry wisely and a fiberglass pool will last you for a very long time. Enjoy!
