Article in the latest Autoweek talks about an early Fiberglass 308GTB that sold for $46k. Car had only 1300 miles and was very nice.

Apparently the owner was looking for $70-$90k and was disappointed at the lower price.

Seems that $46k is not that low, but this car is close to perfect. Frankly, I would be happy to get that much for mine.

Any comments on this price point? Why did the owner think that he could that much? What does this mean for the prices of these cars?

I think the owner was out of touch with reality and someone paid absolutely top dollar for the car. If I remember, it was an auction and this may have been a case of 'auction fever."

There is a significate difference between a 100 point, low milage car and the $25k ebay special 99% of the people think all 308's are worth.
