    This is the first time I've noticed that the program's called Fifth Gear, but their logo's only got four gears (or 5 gear and no reverse).

    So you pay your 200k and you get the car and get to race with it? so at the end of the series, if your car is in tact you get to keep it?

    Yes. You own the car. So, purchase the car for 200K British Pounds (that's about US $350K), then pay running costs of another 200K British Pounds (we're up to US $700K). However, this does not include the cost of crashing. That's extra.
