Haha! You're not kidding though! That will add tremendously to our "winter" if we get as much as they are saying.
7 more inches of sadness due tonite. I did get out and do a continental shoot and went to the Wells gun show still held at the highschool.
It DOES keep the wimps away. I love it! Edit: I now hate it.....single digit temps, high winds and snow in March just ain't right.
This snow has got to go away! Spent last evening at Franklin Motorsports getting fitted for a new seat for my race kart. We also did the alignment, corner weighting/scaling and getting all safety's in place. Still to be installed is the AIM GPS module, throttle & brake position sensors, speed sensor and supplemental battery. Next week is finalizing the new graphics package for it. But data/tememetry stuff aside, its ready to run. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
First day of spring and it was 4 deg on my way to work this morning. Last year at this time it was near 80. a couple of weeks ago I was getting optomistic but 3 major snowfalls in the last 3 weeks has not been good for the fever. Sweet looking cart though^^^
Worked hard to get the steering box back in the lincoln to have the brake pedal go straight to the floor. I blame winter for that. at least it looks like it is finally ending.
Yesterday we had a window (and I do mean window!) of decent weather. I actually woke up the 928 from hibernation and it seemed to be running/driving quite well. The 308 still sleeps and the next number of days look pretty bad...
Back home after the road trip, 3063 miles later. Went all the way to New Orleans for a couple days and then made our way back via Nashville. Made the mistake of opening the trunk near St Louis and let out the cold air so they got a 14" blizzard instead of rain. What a mess for them. Filled a few suitcases with warm Alabama weather. I will accept bribes or a ride in an F car in exchange for opening them up early. Started to "summerize" the snow blower and now I hear we're getting 4 to 6 in the metro area. We are being punished some how some way and for what......who knows. So it's 15, 14, 13, 12 more days until the car and summer toys come out of storage. Good luck with the projects. Ray
Damn you winter go away!!! It's mid April for Christ's sake and you bring more snow!!! You have overstayed your welcome now die. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Here's one good thing.....a cold spring is GREAT for making maple syrup. The heating degree days are today just about equal to the 40 year average.....it can, and has been much colder.
Well, this hasn't been a particularly cold winter, but it has gone on a bit too long... Here is a sad fact: record for latest 60F day was April 26th set in 1904. We may "beat" that this year.
This weather is painting us into a corner by already pushing back our first testing day by over 2 weeks and now rain is called for through the rest of the available practice/test days this week. I have yet to turn a wheel thus far on the track this year. Our season opening race at Newcastle is in 2 weeks and now we're going to have to take time from work to run the motors in and dial in the new chassis and go through setups. damn weather!
Just a crappy spring so far and we are getting another 4-8 inches over the next 2 days. May 1 we ussually have the years crops completely planted and I am getting doubtful that is going to happen. Leech lake is about a month behind scheadule for thawing and the old man has told me he still has at least two feet of snow in Walker. It is very disappointing and depressing. Sorry for the rant
Getting very frustrated as they are reporting another 5-7 inches af snow due tonite. The other bit of bad news is that on Saturday I ruptured the fuel tank on my beloved Bronco while off roading so I will not have a 4X4 if the roads get real bad. I really don't remember a winter dragging on so long before.
Heading to the track this wednesday and not sure what tire to bring with, so Im thinking slicks, pontoons and Blizzacks to cover all my bases.
Shoveled 6 inches last Monday had 80 deg Sunday and 6-9 inches tonite This place becomes more of a hell every winter and election
