Hi. I am considering importing a 1999 Ferrari 360 Modena into Canada from the USA. If it's older than 15 years then it's a little easier and cheaper to do so - and avoids the question about car seat tether possible modifications (in a 2 seater sports car???) . So will the month of manufacture be on the DOT sticker in the door? If it before Aug 99, then I'm good. Someone told me that they didn't make 99s after June, but I guess customs would require some proof?

    Thanks!

Why? All US version cars have a plate that shows month and year of production as per federal law.

I thought there was....maybe an overzealous detailer buffed it right off??

On the modern models is there a different spec for Canada from the US?
For my cars it was the same spec, for both countries...

Stainless steel plate mounted in front of door. Date is stamped in it. Designed to survive thermonuclear exchange so the surviving cockroaches know what they've got.

Thank you. I don't have access to the car right now, but i guess this is an example plate showing the month and year, and I assume it will have one...
