I am so thrilled to get rid of that Pie Plate in the middle of the air pathway of the CIS fuel distributor. I have removed all the CIS parts, and replaced them with a 40 psi regulator, a bunch of 250 psi fuel line, 8 Bosch EFI injectors and tied it all together with hand-soldered copper plumbing (silver solder by the way, not tin-lead) . As you can see from the photo it's a work in progress. Also, the Holley EFI controller is ready to go.

Assuming the EFI works (and it does, came off a running car) the next step is the TFI (thick film integration) computer controlled ignition. For that one, I will have to adapt an 8-cable distributor cap to one of the exsiting distributors, and interface the hall effect cam sensor and magnetic crank sensor to the engine. That will be a challenge, but nothing that a mill and lathe cannot handle.

I can't see why this couldn't be made to work, but I don't understand why you opted for a cone-filter HOT air intake instead of the nice, factory supplied cold air intake. Making extra HP isn't easy, throwing some away is.

Yes I see your point about the cold air, The cone filter is just temporary, to get thru the smog check, until I get time to fabricate a real airbox. The original air box won't fit without the CIS.
