US$ 1.5M and all 25 cars are already sold!

Seems a little bit overpriced.

I spoke to FERRARI last week over phone and we talked about the new MC12 and the price. I have been told US$1.5M!!!!! Not sure if this was/is the price for the street or race version; `cause with the next sentence he mentioned: All 25 are SOLD OUT!
I know, 25 cars is the street version production and so I thought we are talking about this version and price. How many cars are for the race version??? Same amount? More or less? Should I call them tomorrow again?
Asking for the street/race prices?

but there must be a way to drive those cars legal in the U.S.!
On my last trip to to Dallas, I saw a 360 Challenge with German registration plate. Maybe this will work I don`t know your laws & rules; but why don`t you register the cars here in Europe? cheaper insurance, no problem with TUBI or test pipes....a.s.o.
Just my thoughts but I don`t know your rules.
