I am finalising my spec for March/April delivery.

I've settled on Silverstone Grey and black interior with contrasting "special" stitching.

As far as I understand the colour coding for the stitching is as follows:
    White 2000
    Grigio Chiaro(?) 0326
    Grigio Scuro 0318
    Charcoal 0416
    Black 4000

My original plan was white stitching but I saw it on a 458 and there is too much contrast with the black. Charcoal on the other side is too close to black. So I'm hesitating between Grigio Chiaro (0326) and Grigio Scuro (0318). Any experience or pictures on this?

Btw, special stitching is the one to the left in the first photo ("STC 2"). Sorry about the picture quality but I took the photos with my phone.
The first picture is a bit overexposed. The second photo has a better rendering of the actual colours.

    Thanks in advance,

When I orderd my car, I had none of the materials that you photographed. I had to just guess! I chose Rosso stitching.

So why did you choose the special stitching over the regular stitching? I have the "special stitching", but I was just curious how you came to your decision.

The special stitching is more dense. I thought it looked more exclusive and elegant.

I would vote for the Rossa stitching, too. My car has it an it makes for a nice contrast to the monocolor interior and gray exterior.

Among the 3 you selected, I like 0326. I like white stitching on black, but if the white is too white, 0326 might be a good fit.

where did you find those stitching examples? I wasn't even aware of the custom stitching when I placed my order

    # 0326 is the one to select in my opinion. I went through exactly the same thought process with a 430 I ordered. I had black leather interior and thought white stitching would be to much contrast. But the 0326 color worked out great. When it was in the car against the black leather it looked like white, even though it was actually a silver color thread. But, because it was silver it was not "loud" the way true white thread would be.

Where in the world did you get those samples? Do dealers have great samples like that? Do any dealers have actual leather swatches or paint chips larger than a credit card? I have seen pics where they have actual seats. True or fiction? Personally, I think with your color combo, red would look stellar. If that is not the look you're going for then I vote 0318. Subtle yet apparent. I got beige contrast stitching. It really looks good on the cuoio, but it is too much contrast on the black dash resulting in distracting reflection.

Very few dealers around have a sort of "Atelier" similar to the one in Maranello. So you see the seats, paint chips that are about 40X30cm and lots of other things...

The Atelier areas are being incorporated as part of dealership refit programmes. I have a new dealership around an hour from me which has been built to the latest Ferrari corporate design and has a fairly large Atelier room which has the same displays as the ne at the factory Sorry for the poor quality camera phone pic of the seats on display there.

Lucky you Ian... From what I understand HR Owen in London will also refurbish their dealership next year and will have a good Atelier room.

    Fantasma,

I also have on order a California in Grigio Silverstone with Nero interior. I went with the Grigio Scuro (318) special stiching (STC2) primarily because the white was too much contrast.

Blockbuster: one concern I have with #0326 is if it has a beige tint. Would you say it has?
I want a clean/cold white/silverish colour, but not as "loud" as white.

Regarding #0318 it is definitely a "clean" grey. It would be a safe bet, but maybe a bit too dark and a bit dull.

I've got the 326 on black daytonas in my 458. Also had it in my 430. It doesn't look beige at all. Looks incredible.

In fact, when I had stopped by Ferrari Houston earlier this year, my car was already ordered but I wanted to see the stitching samples. I saw the 326 and I was actually worried like you are. I thought they had changed the color from when I had it in my 430, but they didn't.

Check out my post when I got my 458. There's some interior shots to ease your concern!
