Finally! A high end audio store in Fort Lauderdale

You may be driving a Ferrari on the road but listening to a Yugo at home! There is good news for any of you have also been bitten by the Audio bug, there is finally a high-end audio store in Fort Lauderdale: Magnum Opus Audio Video, 1511 E. Las Olas Blvd. (www.magnumopusaudio.com). For the uninitiated, imagine that you thought there were no cars other than General Morors products, and then you walked into a Ferrari showroom. The same holds true in the audio world. If your frame of reference for audio and video products is Circuit City, Best Buy and the Advice guys, you are in for a major awakening. Another world exists, with products and performance you have never imagined. Best of all, high-end does not necessarily equate with high-price. In addition, many of the products at this store are simply jaw dropping, and that's just in terms of appearance, let alone sound.

If you are as compulsive as I am, you'll soon be listening to a home speaker system that is custom finished in Ferrari colors. By the way, I have no interest in or business association with this store. But I've enjoyed every minute I've spent there, and the owner, Andrew, is a great guy.

 

As a high-end audio buff, I welcome any new high-end audio store. I'll have to go down there and play - SOON.
