i swear that's what i thought it was, but i just couldn't make the distinction... Are those your "only" four "toy" cars or is there even more to the stable...? i think that's one helluva stable... Italian, German, British and Japanese sports cars, all in one place... You certainly have a world class collection...
Thanks NNO, I grew up in England, so the Esprit was a must have... I also have an Aston Martin Lagonda and an original '79 Lotus Esprit (white) but they are up in Toronto.
Very nice! Congratulations Ruf and WCH. An F40 is surely a sexy beast. Make sure you guys drive them HARD!!
Well, in that case, your collection just isn't complete without a Morris Minor 1000...! Very cool... it mus be difficult trying to decide what to drive everyday...
Hey RUFMD, its me techart 996 #3 from 6speed. Lol I figured you'd post here too. How has it been driving that beast? Again congrats are in order, now all you have to do is to trade that "horrible" lookin RUF to a techart 997. =)))) Enjoy in good health!
Congratulations....! I hope to see you on a race track very soon! It is good to see you have a Tubi Comp exhaust on it, are cats required where you live? It breaths so much better without cats...!
I was fortunate enough to get a ride in Chris's F40. Incredible. The F40 is my favorite automobile, was before the ride, even more now.
Welcome to the club. You're going to be very happy. The F40 is simply one of the few special cars on earth that is so much more than it appears to be. Maybe it's the thing about Enzo's spirit being woven into the Carbon fiber...
Thanks all, thanks for the good wishes.... Morris Minor NNO ? Good sturdy cars ! As far as trading in the Ruf for a Techart 996..let me think for a nanosecond..ok, NO ! heh heh
Good to hear another beast is out wandering the streets aimlessly, satisfying the dreams of a once young boy, who still recalls the first time he saw the f40 on that poster or calendar he got for christmas. I just hope one day I will also be able to say the same. Congrats..
F40... I used to think the Enzo was it until I took a spin in an F40. Truely a car that is meant to be driven.
owning an F40 is probably like owning a Ferrari for the first time all over again. great feeling it is. Congratulation guys. RufMD, how do you like you Esprit? Is it as bad as they all said???
Congratulations ! Amazing car ... I can only imagine the sound and the flames coming out from those straight pipes ... Quick question : I always wanted to ask about those black bumper inserts that I see on US cars. What is their purpose and can they be removed ??? IMO, the Euro cars look much cleaner without those black lines ...
My Esprit is the 4th I have owned....none gave me problems, I just traded up each time. This Esprit is a 2001 that I plan on keeping and it has been problem free, and quite a spirited performer. Pretty nice road presence as well with great handling. Don't plan on selling it.
I purchased it in early '98 sold it around 2001ish. I don't remember. It was a sad dayfor me. We advertised it in FML just to get our name out there (Newport Autosport). I really had no intentions of (EVER) selling the car. But the right deal came up, and there it went...
