I have been a forum member for about 10 years basically since finishing college. I went thru literally a dozen corvettes and a couple of SL's all the time wanting a 360. In that time we moved to 6 different states, had three kids and life kept trucking on. Last weekend in Laguna Beach i saw a few 360's and my wife said. Life is short, why no get one now

Fast forward 6 days and one was in my garage. I kept looking for the past few months.

I found a local car here in the Los Angeles area

    1999 F1
    Red/Tan with Red Piping
    Challenge grill
    Shields
    Electric Seats
    Leather Headliner

FULL documentation (I am talking everyhting that has ever been done and it was meticulously Maintained never missing a service of spared an expense

New Tires/ F1 Pump, Power Steering Rack and Water pump. Major belt service in March of 2013

    16k miles

It was EXACTLY what i was looking for. And what a joy so far. Put 200miles on it this weekend and took my 5 year old and 3 year old out on trips. Interesting looks you get with a 3 year old passenger LOL

Anyway here she is. What a joy to own and drive. Heres hoping to lots of trouble free miles. Only thing it will need is a clutch as it is at 30% and i will likely upgrade the TCU at that time. Car is 100% stock, ever a single modification just like i like it

Actually found it on Ebay and it was exactly what i wanted in the condition needed. Surprised but happy

Great Job! You were sooooo due!
Funny I take my kids for rids too and if they are even slightly tired they fall asleep! Something about the reclined position and engine noise just sucks the life out of them! :)

Congrats! I hope you have many miles of fun in your new car. The sounds of full throttle runs in a Ferrari are the best.

Thanks everyone, its so exciting to have finally checked this box. This is the EXACT car i have wanted for a good 12 years or so since i was newly out of college, model, color etc.

I was looking for a 6 spd so i felt i was compromising there but now after three days of driving it i have learned how to engage everything so it is very smooth and i actually am happy I have the F1 (We will see how the reliability is though)

Is it really worth swapping it to a newer TCU - honestly i am more than happy with how it shifts. I would only pay to swap if there was a significant change in clutch life. I also like that the car is 100% original

Also got some interesting looks when i took it to costco last night and loaded a ton of stuff into the storage areas LOL. F360 - The Grocery Getter

Congrats, you will love the car...

don't put 2 80lb. bags of water softerner salt in the front along with other groceries and try to go up your driveway, if your driveway is like mine, its normally fine but with the 2 bags in the front you wont make it :)

Nah, screw that. Drive the crap out of it every chance you get! Going to the corner store? Take the Ferrari. Going to get the newspaper? Take the Ferrari. Going to bed? Take the Ferrari.

You'll get the hang of it soon enough! Looks beautiful. Congrats.
