Since 200 I have lived in I have moved 7 times, lived in 3 cities, on of them twice, and I was married. I figure that I am a champ for not losing the negatives. Thats right, real film. I did however move into the digital age this past summer.

    Paul,

Oddly enough I recently found my old film from the 2000 GP also. I may have to scan some and add it to this thread, I have shots of many of those same cars :)

That's fun to do! What was interesting to notice is how few teams still exist in their 2000 form:

    Prost
    Minardi
    Jaguar
    Jordan
    Benetton
    Arrows
    BAR
    Sauber

    Very nice.

Amazingly, my 2000 USGP pics were on film and not digital. I must dig those up as well.

    USGP...RIP. :(

Not only that, I had forgotten how striking the now departed team and sponsor colors were. I wish I had bought more hats and team gear at the time. I miss Arrows/Orange, not because their colors were so great, but just, well, because. I also miss the green of the Jaguar. (Come to think of it, I wish the old 7-UP and United Colors of Benetton livery would appear again). Of the drivers, I miss Mika H. the most -- he had a really dry sense of humor. I remember watching him sitting off to the side several times during post-race press conferences when Michael S. was giving some sort of technical analysis or explanation about how or why he was able/not able to pass at certain points. Mika would look over at him at times in mock interest, and sometimes in mock disbelief, and then start snickering. The post-race conferences now seem way to serious most of the time.

I still wear my Orange Arrows hat all the time--today in fact--and we were disappointed that they were out of shirts at the race. They had a huge display there, and the color combo was awesome. Another sponsor package that I thought was cool was the old Camel/Canon Williams combo. Also, the Rothmans cars. Oh man, here I go. So many sponsor combos over the years....
