Not sure about the old ones, but the new caps are made by Lupini Targhe, near Bergamo.
Only judges I deal with could care less about wheel caps. They are looking at my record. So far clean ! Thanks to deferred adjudication. Whoever invented this must be an enthusiast ( or accountant ).
I am not sure that excites me as much as if you got upgraded TR diffs for under 5k, then Ferrari will really rock when they sort out that problem and make that part available.
It went very well. Just be careful when pressing them in. Because if they give you trouble and you press to hard on them they can bend since the outside is now actually made of metal instead of cheap plastic.
Got mine today .......Thanks Daniel Put them on in less than 5 minutes. I didnt realize how faded my originals were until I got the new ones.
Hey, if anyone has an old cap they wouldn't mind parting with, please PM me. My dad and I were given one of these in 1980 and he made a beautiful walnut paperweight out of it for me. He's gone now and the paperweight went missing in a recent move. I'd love to make myself another and I'd be happy to throw a couple bucks your way for shipping. Cheers!
I have a set of new I purchased from you maybe one year ago. Haven't completed wheel refinishing so haven't installed. Will Ferrari replace old with new if they have not been used? Jeff
Cool. These "older" style caps were the first thing I purchased (from Ricambi Of course) for my new then 308! I replaced the old cracked/ faded ones that I had on my wheels when I bought the car. That made a huge improvement in appearance. Of course, I saved one of the better "old" original caps for my spare wheel, just for fun. In any case, nice!
So, what is the discounted price on the obsolete inventory of the original design? How much for you inventory of them?
