Just thought I'd let everyone know (who was following the other "Forza" threads) that I *finally* got my Forza in the mail today (4/12). I think I first saw it on news stands around a month ago? Sheesh...

Well I only received mine a few days ago because I contacted them requesting it!

I think they are trying to publish too many books at the same time!

I get my Porsche mag timely, and they publish it!

    What's up with Forza?

Forza is very inconsistent. Most other magazines usually show up at the same time every month but sometimes I get Forza very late or very early.

Which one was the last one?

A friend seems to get only 75-80% of the issues, I've had no problems, but for one issue that was so late I did pick it up from a newstand.

    My Excellence comes on time!

    That's my exact point.

So, what's the delay with Forza?

excellance and Forza are published by the same company

I guess the German Italian thing is true, You get Forza when they get around to sending it and Excellence on time

I think that is funny in a way

I've picked up Forza a few times at the news stands. Is this the best overall ferrari mag available in the US?
I know porsche has at least 4 very good magazine. Most are british though. But its a small premium for fantastic magazines about fantastic cars....and I mean the porsches too! The ferraris are usually dead stock in the magazines.....Only two forzas ive bought are because of novitec 360 on cover and imola racing 360 on cover. Some innovative thinking and modifications.
Not that I don't love the stock ferraris, but a well thought out modified car is always good

IMHO, Sports Car Market is a much better overall magazine for shear entertainment and education than Forza. Forza has plenty of chaff and not much grain, and is heavily weighted toward current models and racing articles in which I have little interest. Between the monthly Ferrari column, the "Sheehan Speaks" column, and the copious auction reports, not to mention great articles about other makes/cars that you thought you didn't care about, SCM is a fabulous magazine, and the day it comes (always on time) is one of the high points of my month. BTW, I am not on Keith Martin's payroll!

I'll have to check out SCM per your suggestion. As for the gent who asked which Forza was the "last" one (or the "current" one, IMO) - it's the one with 51 Enzos on the cover.

    Best -

Forza is kind of a dull magazine..they road test the new models far to late in the game R&T and C&D have already had their hands on the cars months in advance of Forza. Its also a constant rehash of the same models. I guess you can only write so much about one car.

There are some interesting Ferrari pubs in Europe I liked when I was stationed there.
'Ferrari World', published in different languages in different countries, was I thought was well done and I do have boxed sets of the first 20 issues (auf Deutsch beim 'ring gekauft.). I wish they were more available over here either in German, Italian or English.

I'm hoping they do a few more buyers guides, maybe the 365/400 2 + 2 series or the Daytona this time. The last one was done in the 5/04 issue covering the 456.
