    Hey all,

I recently had an experience in which I realized that I have to get a Ferrari. I always considered myself a Porsche 911 guy (from the days of playing Accolade's Test Drive). I am still a Porsche 911 guy but I am gonna add Ferrari to the list now.

All changed when last week I went to my local dealer in DC to check the cars out. I saw lot of youtube videos about the F12 and California T and was very curious about these 2 cars. And when I saw the car in the showroom, I finally saw the "Art". I really do not have the words to describe the experience.

The curves, the balance of the design - I mean everything just connected for me. Seeing the F12 in real life just inspired me. Videos and Photos are one thing, but in real life it is a work of an art.

Owning a Ferrari is not the end goal, but from what I see from majority of the owners in this forum - it is celebration of success achieved while pursuing your dreams and realizing it. And what rewarding experience it is.

I can write a 10 more pages on what I want to write and I will as time moves forward but right now I have to get back to pursing and working on my dream.... those stock market charts won't read by themselves.

    Have an excellent day.

    Cheers

    skyfox,

You mean to tell me that you didn't bother to test-drive one? Go back and do so! The sound of the flat-plane crank is soooo sexy! I get a woody just thinking about it! :)

Flat plane crank doesn't apply to the V12s, just sayin' 😆

I stand corrected. It's impossible for a V12. But it still sound sexy!

It sounds BETTER than a flat-crank V8 because it has more cylinders ;)

Seriously, the "flat-crank" part is just one configuration for a 90 deg V8 block that gives the physical relationship that makes it sound so different from a typical Detroit V8. The 12 cylinder F don't have flat-cranks, but they have that same physical relationship that sounds so wonderful = alternate bank firing in a two-bank ICE.

It was getting late, I figured the day I ask for a test drive is the day I just buy one. I was happy at the Ferrari DC Dealership.

I did get greeted at this Dealership unlike some other dealers (Toyota) where no one said anything to me in the showroom even when I was there to buy a car (this was few years ago and from that day, I vowed never to buy anything Toyota).

Thank You Schulz308, I can't wait to post the thread on here with my F12 Key (It is coming, and it will - I am just doing the work right now to get there).
