Does anyone know what options I have?

I'm looking at a '91 348. We've agreed on the price and are about to close the deal but Maybank is giving us some cr*p about not having the import documents, etc. (for crying out loud, the damn car's 15 years old and completely road legal!)

Seems that most banks are wary when you tell them you're looking to finance an old(er) car, and they completely freak out when they hear "Ferrari"

Not looking for full, or even close to full financing. More like 50% on a very aggressive repayment plan (3-4 years). Issue is not affordability (and yes, I've factored in the repair bills too) but rather cash flow (just don't have the whole amount burning a hole in my pocket right now).

I work and live in S'pore (but will be storing car near KL) with an income that is more than sufficient for the amount of loan I'm looking at. I've tried the Singapore banks but they cannot finance a M'sian car so I'm left with M'sian based options.

Any leads would be greatly appreciated.

Then again, perhaps it's a sign that I should take the extra leap and get myself an F355. At least that falls under the 10-year age limit for the banks!

    TIA
