I have a 308 engine and tranny and need the car to drop it into. Anyone know where I may find one? Any condition is fine. Thanks.

There are plenty for sale that have been burned to a crisp, but why any condition?

And what type engine do you have?
Do you have all the ignition and fuel management items as well,
or would you be looking for a car that is setup for carbs or FI?

    What is your budget?

Thank you for the response. The motor is complete, just ready to be dropped in. I said any condition because I want to slowly restore the car myself, but it is more of a project for myself than anything.

Where would I find one? An looking to pay $10k (if possible) for one. I found one in NY, but it was really too far gone, plus the owner put fender flares on it, repainted it, etc., really bad stuff.

What type of engine, carb or injected?
And what do you mean by complete?

For example .... Is it an injected motor w/fuel dist.

It makes a difference when you are looking for a car, as far as the electronics for the engine management, fuel pumps, so forth.

The vintage of the rolling chassis makes a difference because the chassis will define the vintage for the government and if you have a carburetted motor, it will be tough to make it meet 308 QV era emissions standards.

That said, there are a number of 308s being broken up. T. Rutlands is a source to try.

    Good Luck,

    Art S.

PS. the motor would make a great start to a hotrod! Think V8 fiat spider.

PPS. What condition is the motor in and what happened to the car it came from?

I've got a rough car in the shop right now with a seized up engine. It needs WORK..The interior isn't bad though. The front bumper and rear bump have been pushed in, due to the cops boxing it in after a highspeed chase but no frame or body damage.

Please tell me more about the car you have for sale, location, price, I am looking for something that needs work.

the engine and tranny are both new, less than 1,000 miles on them, might sell as well...I've also got a crown and pinion for a testarossa, OEM, for sale.
