Hi everybody, I am wondering how can I find an investor to invest in my product? I have been through all the lenders...angel investors...but nothing has gone through. What I would like to know is exactly what can I do to lure investors to my product? I just need funding to climb that one "hill"....once over, then things would be easier. Help!
The B&I section has lots of knowledgeable people, but one of the first "stickies" is a warning about what to expect if you come on and just ask for money. If you're still interested, the best input usually comes if you're open about discussing your idea and how you've already gone about trying to get funding.
Hi all! Thanks for your info...but I cant subscribe right now...no funds :-( I'll look around the net though...
Surely you can find $11!!! My experience is that if the idea is sound and the business plan is legitimate then finding investment is not a problem. With all due respect, the folks that tend to have a problem finding funds are those who have an idea but no solid business plan, or want to run the show when they are inexperienced, or just have an idea but arent sure how to make that into a tangible product. I suspect you are behind on some of those points, or else it would be such a hassle. For more, you ought to find $11 and subscribe.
If you can stay away from getting outside money, do it. Nothing worse than having to divy up profits long after you are in the black. If your product idea is SO good, you will want to do whatever you can to fund it yourself.
It'll be the best $11 you've ever spent, trust me About investors, sometimes they can be a bad idea like PeterS said. Try to find a way to do it yourself. What is you business about anyway?
Yes, subscribe and review my Sticky in the B&I section. What you learn from that post will well cover your subscription.
Woah, we can find investors in the subscription areas? I have a few web applications that I am building and I am working on a business plan right now... maybe not the next MySpace or Facebook, but different ideas that haven't been implemented the way I've built them. If I can find investors in the Business section, I'll definitely subscribe! Thanks, shahedc . p.s. I also have a full-time job while my business ideas are worked on my in my spare time, so I can definitely pay the $11 !
well, my business has to do with electric vehicles. I saw about a year ago that there will be a heavy "go-green" movement in which many companies are doing right now. So I put up alot of money to build a functional prototype...an NEV or Neighborhood Electric Vehicle. I don't think I can advertise here, so I won't. It runs on Lithium batteries. Thats about all I can tell you w/o fully advertising my product...unless i get a PM ;-)
This is a good point. I have a friend with an amazing life changing product but he refuses to let go of his death grip on the company and he is broke after working for 10 years on this project.
Thanks for pointing it out. Don't worry, I don't intend to post anything against the rules of this forum, or even ask for funding outright. Rather, I plan on reading other people's posts first, to see what kind of discussions are carried out. Then (if allowed), I can post more details on the various web applications I have been building. Others can provide their feedback if they choose, and if an investor thinks it's a great idea, they can always PM me. Thanks, ~shahedc .
