    Bought a 308 recently. Not unhappy with the car, but would like to find out who previously owned the car. How can you locate PO's? Do state DMV's give out that info, or what other sources can help me?

    Privacy and identity theft issues have pretty much closed the door on vehicle history and prior owner info for 3rd parties.

    Contact Ferrari Market Letter - they will let you know what information they have in their files.

    Do you have the original owners manual and warranty booklet? There will be a dealer stamp and original owner information. Use that information to go to the regional forums here and through the FCA and/or FOC club.

    If it is a QV then check with Wade.

    When I got my 250GT I did a cleaning and found an old credit card receipt under the seat. After a bit of searching I was on the phone, talking to the second owners son, who also owned the car after his fathers death. I was able to reconstruct the history, receive missing documents and eventually meet in person, all surviving prior owners.

    I hav'nt had any luck at all,The title that was handed to me had the two previous owners on the title.Both in Ohio,1st was a car dealership called Sporty's Honda,Called them E-mailed them did every thing but show up at the Front door.Who ever this person is, they failed in common curtousity,If there no longer in buisness I now know why.The other place was a limo service,all they wanted to do is rent me a Limo,Again NO communication!If anyone can help me on my quest the car was in Dayton Ohio
