Finally got my 348 up and running. :D

Had the engine taken out and a lot of work and £££ thrown at it.

You can see the progress with pictures here. No need to register to view the pics.

The car feels tighter and smoother and the 360 carbon seats are simply awesome. there is definetly more headroom (will measure it tomorrow).

Pics of the before and after.

Only have the following things to do now....

    - Replace remaining suspension bushes
    - Fit new brake discs all round (although I'll probably put 355mm AP Racing 6 pot brakes on the front)

    Hi Angelis,

What a nice job you did, many thanks for the description.

I'll do a major service on a 93 spider in a few days and I'l do it myself.
I've a question that I would like you to answer, please.
What is the size of that roling engine support you have? It seems you did it yourself. I would like to make one just like yours.
I'm refering to the 4 wheel "support" you use to place and pull the engine out.

Height from the wheels to the top, large, weight capacity...

    I would appreciate your help.

    Many thanks in advance.

    Mont

Cool pics!! Those seats look great. Did you ever weigh stock seats and compare them to these new ones Sy? :)

Did you lose any legroom when moving to the new seats?

    Thanks guys.

£2,000 for the pair. Worth every penny!!!

The engine stand was made by my friend George who did most of the engine work as I don't know one end of a spanner from another.

You need to make the two tops bars match the engine cage.

I'll ask him for the dimensions and post them up.

errrr....totally forgot to do it. But they are a lot lighter.

Nothing that I've noticed. Have'nt noticed any off set either. apart from teh reclining knob the seats fit perfectly.

I'll do some measurements and post them up in a couple of hours.
