Nice job Chris, enjoy finally having some good nightime viewing. "Pull cord"? Are you referring to the battery negative cord connection? More details on where the relays are exactly please! Jeff
Thanks. "Pull cord" I was just tired. Yes, the battery negative cord connection. I one that's on the body, is that the female end? Anyway, it has 2 screws holding the base so i just unscrewed them and put the relays there. I took the wheel well cover off so you can see it in the 2nd picture. Looks like a dry spot.
Well, i finally got a chance to drive my 308 at night. And all i can say is OMG!! What a big i mean BIG difference. Last time i drove her at night was last fall/winter and i remember how dim the lights were. I would have to drive with the high beams on just to see. But now it's like "forgetaboutit" If anybody is thinking of doing the change all i can say is "Just do it" Thanks again to my main guys Mike and Jeff for there help.
No worries. My total was around $300? It's up high cause i bought extra bulbs too. Extra pair of H4 bulbs extra brake, stop, turn bulbs. That way i'm not bothered if anything goes out.
Awesome! Glad to hear you're up and running. I've been driving a lot at night and this setup is awesome. I've also observed that because the 328 sits so low, I'm not worried about any other-traffic driver glare (e.g. as a result of higher wattage bulbs, hypothetically ). The cutoff due to the optics on the Cibie 7" headlamp lenses is so very sharp that I can actually see it projected on other cars in front of me, and the cutoff line is well below rear view mirrors. Sharon was recently behind me in the 328 and I confirmed this. Put on the high beams though, and oh man... Like a spotlight.
