I have found a beautiful, immaculate 2002 575M which I am very interested to buy but it doesn't have the Fiorano handling pack (not the GTC upgrade) which everyone tells me is a must. Can anyone tell me if this can be retro fitted? And what parts are involved? Where would the parts be listed for example?

The pack in 2002 was about $5K factory fitted, I would be interested to know what sort of cost today

Any idea where I can source the parts, if not from a dealer

The alternative is a very nice 1999 550 but it has white hide and that has to be a long term problem - cracking and ageing. Car is however immaculate

    Thanks

    FHP can be retrofit.

Ricambi sells the kit for around $8500 (good price). Add install to that and its probably $10K complete (?). That is assuming you have wheels to fit the big brake kit.

Drive a 550 and 575 back to back and see what you think before you buy. FHP is great if it suits your driving style, but the 575 is also great without it.

    best,

Agreed, My 550 with FHP is fairly raw (read: awesome stiffness)

A stock 550 is like a 575 with FHP. Still raw but comfortable.

A 575 stock is really nice, just not as stiff.

About $8,600 in parts for the factory package.

If the car was fitted with the kit at the factory would there be any reference to it on the chassis plate or other such ID plate. How and where would I have to look for this information

This has been asked before and I am not sure there was a definitive response.

I do know the car should have at least 19" wheels, big brakes, sway bar, non-stock springs and be lowered. I guess the only real way to tell is check the part number of the steering ECU or see the window sticker.

Does anyone know if the full GTC package can be retrofit on a 575 and for how much? I found all the parts listed on the Ferrari Online Technical Bookstore, including ceramic brakes. Any recommendations of best place in the southeast US to have the work done?
Has anyone driven a GTC equipped car compared to a standard 575?

    Thanks.

I believe it can be but will be very expensive.

South East is a big place, can you narrow to a major metro area.

Calipers are the same on FHP cars. It's the pads that are different.

Factory ordered FHP also included painted calipers. I believe the kit comes with red calipers.

Looking to have the work done somewhere in Florida if possible.

Also, do you have any recommendation on 575 engine ECU upgrade. I've found information on several (e.g. Powerchip and Veloce Performance Tuning)---which is the best?

    Thanks.
