Has anyone retro-fitted a Fiorano Handling Pack to their 355 Berlinetta or GTS?

Happy with the result? Value for money?

    i have & i love it!

the fiorano sway bars and h&r springs were installed about a year ago - the car feels more planted with this set up

next was the fiorano/challenge suspension ecu - i have noticed a difference taking corners and on sweepers - the front shocks stiffen up a bit more

a fiorano/challenge steering rack was installed a week ago - the turning ratio is nice and tight. the steering feels more responsive. i am running the stock ps pump

another modification was a swap out of the existing steering wheel with that of a 360 - i cannot recommend this modification highly enough to my f355 brothers. this mod has given the car a whole new feel - it is a must have

    would i do these again?
yes i would, but then again i am totally gaga over my f355 ('98 spider / 6 speed)

if you are serious about these mods, do them in the following order:
sway bars & springs (low hanging fruit)
    360 steering wheel (a must!)
    challenge rack
    challenge ecu

    happy motoring!

What is the advantage of the 360 steering wheel?
Can you post a pic? Is it a simple swap?

I have found a UK site advertising the Fiorano front and rear anti-roll bars, rubbers, and the ECU for a total of about 1200 GBP.
Presumably you would also need a different set of springs?
    What about the shocks?
This site has "Challenge" shocks for 735 GBP

Where did you get the Challenge steering rack from?
    What price?

And finally, do these mods compromise the ride much for normal road use?

I am considering these upgrades for my '98 GTS but use is 99% road and only the very occasional track day.

    Thanks for replies!

what is the advantage of the 360 steering wheel?
    - to me, the 360 steering wheel has two advantages - it is beefier, especially at the 10/2 position & it has an airbag that takes up far less real estate. the beefier grip just feels better in your hands and i feel more connected with the car.

    - the swap is very straight forward - disengage battery, remove airbag assembly via two tamper-proof torx screws on either side, disconnect horn/airbag connections, remove 4 retaining bolts on existing steering wheel, swap the 360 wheel and put it all back together - should take you approx 30 minutes from start to finish

    - not a bad deal. also continue to check ferrari ads on fchat - many good finds to be had

Presumably you would also need a different set of springs?
    - you can buy challenge springs or use the h&r ones specifically designed for the f355. i went with the h&r springs

    What about the shocks?
This site has "Challenge" shocks for 735 GBP
    - the stock shocks will suffice. i have heard that the challenge shocks can be too aggressive for road use

Where did you get the Challenge steering rack from?
    What price?
    - i purchased this from an fchat member - try to connect with f355 challenge owners in the challenge section, check ebay regularly, place a want ad in your local fca newsletter, etc. the parts are hard to come by and will tax your wallet

And finally, do these mods compromise the ride much for normal road use?
    - no they do not - i spent all last week putting my car through its paces - i like this set up a lot. i did not think the f355 could get any better, i was wrong. i do not track the car

I am considering these upgrades for my '98 GTS but use is 99% road and only the very occasional track day.
    - i will reiterate, these parts are hard to come by and you will pay a premium for them. if you plan on keeping your car for a while, please consider these modifications. i am very happy with the results.

Excellent. Many thanks for the information.

Sounds like a very worthwhile set of upgrades.

One final question, do these mods lower the ride height of the car much / at all?
If so, have you found this to be a problem during normal driving?

I am planning on getting the Hill Engineering skid plates anyway so hopefully that will minimise any issues.

sorry - i should have said something about ride height

the h&r springs will lower the ride height on the front & back
if you choose to go with the sway bar/spring upgrade you will need to have a full alignment done & have the ride height adjusted. and while you're in there - you may also consider having the shocks rebuilt

good luck with everything & tell us how things turn out

Could you also share this info with me? Thanks!

    Btw, will a 348 steering rack work in a 355 (I have a 96 GTS)?
