How do I know if a 355 is a real "Fiorano" car, or if it´s just one of those cars with the "Fiorano" extra added in the option list ?
I have heard from dealers that there were actually more that the mentioned 100 cars with a plate in the interior, that are so called "real" Fioranos...

Can I tell from the VIN ?
Does anyone have the codes ?

    Ciao Anders

Your importer (not necessarily dealer) should probably be able to look it up on their system (even if its not a Swedish origin car)

Yes, give your Ferrari dealer a call. They will tell you.

All the U.S.-imported 1999 F355 Fiorannos were Spider versions. In Europe (and I believe Japan), there was an option for the Fioranno Handling package on all F355 models with thicker front/rear anti-sway bars and bushes, reprogrammed shock ECU, upgraded springs, etc. This, in all probability, is what this care is equipped with. There are NO identifying marks, plates, etc. with this package, other than the listing on the build sheet and window sticker.

True US 1999 spider 355 fioranos have a ID plate on the dash that is numbered ##/100 since there were 100 made for the US. However ther was an earlier thread where Rifledriver said that there were cases of cars with duplicate plates, which is particularly disturbing. Therefore matching VIN numbers to the final 100 355's production would probably be the only way to be sure.

    Hi Anders
The car you are looking at is not a Fiorano car, it is one of quite a few european cars with the Fiorano package. Autoropa should be able to tell you if these parts were factory fitted, I am pretty sure they were...

My 1997 UK F355 spider has the Fiorano option, it was factory fitted and no plaques are on the care, I assume its just an option.
