ok, most of you wont be able to help me since i am in switzerland, BUT worth asking for the european audience help...

my cs does NOT have the fire extinguisher. it looks relatively simple to install it, so all i have to do is buy it. but before i go bend over at the dealer, does anybody know of one being offered on the secondary market, or have another suggestion for me?

You can probably buy the brackets from a dealer and a regular OMP extinguisher elsewhere but don't forget the mats are listed in the spares book as different for the extinguisher equipped cars

Just order it from Daniel or Mike at Ricambi and be done with it.

Last I heard the factory would not provide part no.'s for the two anchor brackets that bolt everything to the floor.

We have ordered them in the past, and sadly, they all suck in terms of quality. Sometimes the leather is poorly glued and sewn, other times the diameter was incorrect for the factory extinguishers. We still have a few of the black leather clamps in stock.

Having said that, unless you really want the OEM cylinder, I would strongly investigate aftermarket Halon or Halotron solutions that offer better fire protection with no harmful residue. A simple and very secure bracket can easily be leather covered locally, and look nice. If you go that route, make sure to give the actual extinguisher to your leather person -- that way, they can make the bracket diameter to accommodate the cylinder + bag together. (the bag will add 3-4mm of diameter to the cylinder)
