I need one of those! Simple and elegant solution

 

Mine is mounted where yours is, but I don't think it's unobtrusive, though it is out of the way. I would rather it be mounted to the bottom of the passenger seat personally, but that's just me and it isn't a big enough issue for me to spend the time and money on it. Center tunnel is
probably where it will stay until she's pried from my cold, dead hands, after many more miles.

Yes, I agree....that has to be secured/mounted properly.
