Firefox 3? Anyone?

I'll be upgrading as soon as I have time. Which will probably be next week.

 

First post with FF3.

 

I've had it for a few hours and don't really see much of a difference. The favorites showing up in the address bar is cool but i'm not sure if it'll get annoying or not soon

 

Yeah, I agree, the favorites bug the crap out of me, I have some old ones, that I never use. I like when you type like Ferrarichat.com, it tells you some of the posts that you looked at, or posted in, and you can go there directly, instead of ferrarichat.com/forum/....etc.

I am getting used to it, but I am liking it so far.

 

I just updated. I tried a couple of the betas, but went back to v2 until today. I'm really liking how much faster things are displaying for me.

It screwed up my bookmarks...but then probably not an issue with FF3 but the rather arcane way I went about backing up FF profiles. Beyond that...good browser and faster, plus fixes some rather annoying video loading bugs.

 

Posting on it now. Love it. They need more themes though, these ones suck.

 

I randomly lost all 6000+ of my book marks 2 weeks ago in Firefox 2.0

Sounds like a winner, I was testing the Beta of IE8.0 and it was a dog, I finally removed it from my system.

 

I download it yesterday, and IMO is better in some things...

 

I have it I rally don't see much of a difference but hey its FF so I love it.


6000 bookmarks how the hell did you keep them in order.

FF3 looks great to me. Not a revolution, but loads of subtle changes, a bit of tweaking here and there, just at the right places. I've tried out Opera 9.5 which received such a lot of praise, but it doesn't feel, well, comfortable to me. I'll stick with Firefox.

 

Only time I use IE is to download Mozilla.

 

Downloaded it yesterday. Any idea why my bookmarks toolbar isn't showing up?

 

I always wait for the first update after a major release -- regardless of who wrote the program.

 

Right click on the tool bar, left click on customize. Left click on Bookmark and hold, drag Bookmark to the tool bar.

I don't see why anyone would use IE once they've run Firefox.

Loads faster, doesn't bug out. Apparently if you use gmail, you'll see a remarkable difference in page load times.

Although, with both browsers looking at EXACTLY the same content with three panes open, IE is using 38mb of memory, and Firefox is using 110mb.

Much faster page loads. Seamless upgrade With all the security they seem to add to stuff these that slows things down i.e. Vista crappola, it's nice to use something that ends up faster.

 

Not getting it just yet, happy with version 2.
Only heard so far negative things overall about the new version.

 

Me too - well, I didn't have 6,000 bookmarks (you look at way more porn than I do) - but I lost all of them. No reason why.
