anyone use it is it better than internet expl. im having so many problems with internet explorer im looking into changing. is firefox user friendly, please give me your opinions. thanks
Once you go to Firefox and use it for a while, you'll absolutely HATE IE. FF doesn't work for everything, because some dummies out there won't optimize their pages for both, but it's excellent and works with 98% of the web. Good luck. RMX
I use Firefox and have downloaded most of the plugins to make flash/java etc work and have only every come across 1 site that didn't work. Tabs are a lifesaver
I love it. It is very user friendly and highly customizable. More secure than IE, an d it's free! I LOVE TABS!
There are parts of FedEd.com that will not work with it. I got most of the way through an international waybill when it told me I would have to start again if I was using FF. Bummer.
Using it right now...on both my Mac and my PC. The tabbed browsing and security features alone make it worth using. Plus, new updates and extensions are coming out all the time.
I love it. Tabs are great I open FF and then 5 pages that I always go to open so I dont have to click away getting to them.
before you bail on IE, try version 7. It's still in Beta, but very close to final release form. I'm usiing it and find it to be very complete. Download it here. http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=4c1a8fbe-fb6a-47ac-867d-bb1f17e477ee&DisplayLang=en dm
Open up all tabs you want then options, use current page. Then its set every time you open those pages will open. Although what I do is keep the google as my homepage and bookmark the pages I want into a folder then open in tabs in that folder.
Open the pages you want as your homepages. Go to tools-options-general and click "use current pages". It then opens all those tabs whenever you open mozilla
Yes, sometimes I am forced to open IE because some crappy websites dont support Mozilla.... but I try to frequent sites that do. IE sucks. I used to get all sorts of pop-ups and spyware and crap through the use of IE. Since switching to Mozilla.... no more issues. Plus tabs rock. Its a much better overall browser, period. Terry
The folks I know that have beta tested IE 7 say it's crap. I use Firefox, and to be honest, I also use IE when I have to (about 3% of the time), as was said earlier, sometimes you will find something in a certain flavor of Java or CSS that Fox does not like but works with IE6. (you can have multiple browsers on your machine, I have 4 on mine) I enjoy NOT getting popups with Firefox.
