hi folks, am visiting the big apple with the family and was hoping to go see the fireworks tonite. any suggestions where and when to go to view them? (am currently staying at broadway) thanks in advance ...
They are on the west side this yr. honestly the best spot for locals is to go the the roof of a friends blg. That said, there is now a "park" up and down the westside highway along the water that you can find a spot to cap at. They have multiple barges so it's hard to miss. Not sure whether the intrepid has some sort of party tonight but watching them off the flight deck is a treat, I would check their website.
The U.S.S. Intrepid also offers amazing views of the Macy's fireworks from its prime location on the Hudson River. You can party on the Intrepid this July 4th for $160 per person, including complimentary food and non-alcoholic beverages. Children under the age of three get in for free.
tnx mate ... just saw the big screen @ broadway ... folks interviewed said they'd been camping there since morning ... something tells me i'm gonna be s*it outta luck finding standing room ... going anyway to the west side ...
wish i'd seen this earlier. lots of standing space on the west side highway had a fantastic view basically underneath the show.
