Firing order plaque

So I’ve been trying to do a correct restoration on my 1977 GTB. It seems finding good documentation on the little details can sometimes be a bit challenging. I have seen most pictures seem to have a firing order plaque on the intake box. My car does not have this and does not have holes in the box where the rivets would have been for it. I can’t imagine someone would have removed it and welded up the holes. Does anyone know where the firing order plaque on a 1977 GTB should be? Should it be on the intake? Somewhere else? Or not even have one at all? Btw, my car is a November of 77 steel car without the emissions flap in the intake box and no catalysts.

Thanks! It is indeed a US dual distributor car. That would make sense if it did not come with a plate. You are right, good original pictures seem to be very hard to find. It seems like many cars are no longer original making documentation quite difficult.

Thanks! This really helps. It seems there are so many tiny differences from year to year. My last restoration was an air cooled 911, so was way easier to research all the little details since they made boat loads of them lol. Thank again for the help!

One quick question. Since your car is known original as you have had it essentially since new. Would you have any pictures of the air injection hoses on your car and where they run? I’m also working on putting that all back together and can only find pics of newer cars with cats.

Now that’s quite interesting indeed. That does sound like something Ferrari would do. I guess it’s part of what makes these cars so interesting but also nearly impossible to document with all the little continuous changes.

Thanks. I definitely understand. It seems like pretty much everyone ripped all that stuff off decades ago and for good reason. I was trying to restore the car to take it to a concourse and I’m assuming the judges would want to see the air injection stuff all in place. I was planning on putting it back for looks and not making it functional. Dumb I know but I guess the “proper” look lol.

This is quite interesting indeed. It looks like there was never a plate attached to those holes on yours. It seems there is a lot of little changes even within the same year on these cars. My air box doesn’t have any holes in it, so I’m going to leave it alone and not attach a plate to it.
