    This may be silly, but I just took delivery of a 78 308. Car runs perfect-everything works wonderfully ( Birdman box will be added first). 35k documented miles and a $9200 service performed at 32K miles last year. Air conditioner recently serviced-my son asked me to turn it down on the 50 mile ride ( long route-winding roads) to our lake house in central Texas. There is some expected wear ( if anyone knows a place I can order carpet from) but the center console is intact but black color faded in areas. Has anyone tried black leather shoe polish-at least for a temporary fix? Pictures to follow-I think I need to sucscribe-followed probably by lots of searches and questions.

    Try Tin Lizzie in Richardson for your leather needs. I've heard their name brought up more times than I can count. One of our local owners had the seats in his TR done a year or so ago, and they're perfect.

    For the carpet try www.reoriginals.com or www.gahh.com.

    Did you used to have a black 360 w/ a stainless exhaust?

    Yes I did . Loved that car- traded it in at Park Place for a Porsche. Mistake but more reliable. Is the car still in town or do you own ot now. The car actually has an interesting history.

    I remember the car from the time you joined us at the indoor cart races. That car sounded better than any 360 I've ever heard.

    Bring the 308 out some time and let us get a look at it!
