My local dealer just got the demo car. Loaded red tan. I like alot of others thought the car was not the best looking and the rear end was hideous. I dubbed it a chicks car at best.

Well let me tell you that IMO it is a thing of beauty. The front looks agreesive, tough and the lines on the side are gorgeous. The interior is absoulely amazingly gorgeous with all the creature comforts to be a daily driver. The back is not that bad in person. Matter a fact kind of cool how they designed it. I will more than likely be picking one up next spring...........

True this would be my wifes car but only because I have a Murci, Bentley and F430.

Oh I meant I could not afford it cause of the other cars but if I could it would have to be "the wifes car" to get permission to buy another :)

I agree with the above comments. It really is kind of a girls car especially in red, maybe a darker color would be better like blue, black or silver for a guy. I test drove it yesterday. Driving, the best part is the exhaust note. Just awesome. There is plenty of power and torque, the car really goes when you mash on the pedal. The shifting is SEAMLESS. The top works great. The cabin is a little bit cramped, in my opinion, and I am not a big guy. Overall, I think it is a very good car, maybe a hard time selling at over $200K and I am sure it will not hold its value.

I feel the California will grow on the older crowd after a while. IMO it picks up a lot of ques from the older Ferrari's.

But it seems mighty small compared to the 599 and Gran Turismo. I'm 6'2", would there be room for a tall feller in there?

I am over six feet and have driven the California - no issue for someone tall.
question of the day for input: I have a opportunity to by a new F430 Spider from a dealer at sticker. I have my name on a list for the Cali that will not be in for 12 months. Do you buy the F430 and pass on the Cali or just wait for the Cali? Thanks.

Buy the 430 IMO. Two totally different cars. Depends what you want it for really. The 430 will have more driver feed back, more fun through the corners or spirted drives. The Cali more civilized, DD.

I think the Cali will hit the used market soon and drop like the 430 spider, 430, 599's have.

I saw the car for the 1st time here in Scottsdale and it is nice but is not inspiring. It is not one of those cars that folks say that you have to see in person. The back is infact as big as it looks and the lines don't look quite right. The front bumper inlet is huge and protrudes forward a lot. I fully expect based on the market conditions plus the huge volume this car will be produced in will have this car depreciate at an alarming rate. I think it will plumet down to low hundreds in a few years. It just doesn't inspire like the other Ferraris. It is one I would see you driving everyday splashing through the puddles thinking oh well, not the pride of your garage you take out on sunny days and keep spotless. Technologically it is fantastic and the inside is unbelievably nice. I don't think Ferrari could have introduced a car at a worse time though, especially this one. Ferrari needs to hire a new design team. Gosh I hope they don't mess up the F430 replacement. Glen
